The first brief article in this newsletter discusses the creation of new regulations to monitor and modify the sub-standard housing conditions in Maryland for migratory workers upon the basis of a previous study finding dire need for enforcement of such new housing regulation. The second article presents a summary of a TB screening program enacted in cooperation between Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and the United States Public Health Service. This program X-rayed a total of 4372 people (mostly migrants), and discovered 12 active cases of tuberculosis.
