Author: M. Gudelia Rangel
Date Published: 2006

This paper entails a cross-sectional, probability survey with deported Mexican migrants in Tijuana, Mexico and estimates levels of HIV infection and behavioral risk factors among the migrant flow. It concludes with a .8% prevalence of HIV among deported males, more than twice that estimated for the male adult population in Mexico and above rates of infection among male adolescents and adults. The study of females was inconclusive.
