As part of the 2002 reauthorization of the health centers program, Congress mandated a study to examine "the problems experienced by migrant and seasonal farmworkers (including their families) under Medicaid and SCHIP." The information used to develop this analysis comes from a review of the literature as well as two data sources: the 2000 National Agricultural Worker Survey (NAWS) and the Uniform Data System (UDS).
