This report provides an overview of the colonia programs offered by (1) the Office of Rural Community Affairs, (2) the Department of Transportation, (3) the Water Development Board, and (4) the Department of Housing and Community Affairs. The goal of this report is to provide a source of information regarding the colonia programs provided by these agencies, including basic program descriptions; amounts awarded through these programs in recent years; and the effect of these awards on colonia residents.
