This study uses the most recent national data available to address the question of English proficiency and access to the medical home and demonstrates marked medical home disparities by ethnicity and language among Latino children's families. Most children with a Spanish-language parental interview had a usual source of care, but only one-quarter had a medical home. Lack of a medical home was associated with disparities in the quality of care, more so than access disparities.
