Farmworkers face numerous barriers to health care: lack of insurance and knowledgeof how to use or obtain it, cost, lack of transportation, not knowing how to access care, few services in the area or limited hours, difficulty leaving work, lack of time, language differences, and fear of the medical system, losing employment, and immigration officials. This study systematically examined correlates of US health care use in a nationally representative sample of farmworkers, using recently collected data.
