A national cross-section survey of a sample of households was conducted and obtained population, characteristics, employment, earnings at farm and non-farm work information from households who were migratory farm workers during 1949. The collected information is presented in this report as a comparison between migratory and non migratory farm workers. The detailed information in this report relates to a same which represents approximately 420,000 persons, 14 years and older, in the civilian population at the end of 1949 who did migratory farm work in 1949.
