A research document discussing the program: "Protege tu Familia: Hazte la Prueba". This program is a culturally and linguistically sensitive HIV/AIDS prevention and testing program that targets Latinos. Participants in this study increased: HIV/AIDS related knowledge, the participants intent to practice safer sex and communicate sexual risk to partners, and intent to test for HIV. Considering the culturally sensitive topic, improvements were found in self-reported comfort levels when caring for HIV positive and decreased HIV/AIDS related stigma.
