Health Care for California's Farmworkers: Consensus Report of Local Agriculture and Labor Representatives
Author: Diringer, Joel
Date Published: 2009
This report examines the different ways to ensure that the medical needs of California's farmworker population (which generate $36 billion for California's agricultural industry) are being met. The report particularly focuses on 3 different ways in which healthcare needs can be addressed: tracking and implementing successful pilot healthcare programs to determine their efficacy, revisit policy and discussion on what the state and federal levels of healthcare provide farmworkers, and growth of preventative care programs and education.
