Author: Cabrera, N.L.; Leckie, J.O.
Date Published: 2009

This study examines pesticide education, risk perception and self-protective behaviors among farmworkers in California's Salinas Valley. 50 current and former farmworkers were interviewed in the study. The study concludes that despite several barriers such as language differences and inconsistent forms of pesticide safety training, respondents understood the potential health consequences of exposure.
