Seasonal Variation in Fruit and Vegetable Consumption in a Rural Agricultural Community

This study investigates fruit and vegetable consumption among Hispanic farmworker and non-farmworker families via an administered questionnaire that documented quantity of fruit and vegetable consumption, variation in consumption depending on season and the source of fruit and vegetable products. For farmworker families, results indicated that fruits and vegetables are more frequently consumed during their harvest season, and the articles claims that public health investigations should take this into consideration when measuring nutritional quality, consumption patterns, etc.
