Author: Perez-Escamilla, Rafael
Date Published: 1996
This study examined the impact of cesarean section delivery on the initiation and duration of breastfeeding in the 1987 Mexican Demographic and Health Survey. Results show that cesarean section was a risk factor for not initiating breastfeeding but was unrelated to breastfeeding duration among women who breastfed for one month or more.
