This report discusses the findings of a diarrheal diseases study in Fresno County, California from 1952 to 1953. Two projects were done, including a camp study and a child health conference study. Findings show that persons with private faucets had fewer Shigella infections than persons with outside communal supplies. The study was a result of concern in the San Joaquin Valley of California regarding the number of cases of diarrhea and the number of deaths from diarrhea and malnutrition.
