This bulletin reports on two parallel surveys of health behavior in two Missouri Counties in 1955 and 1956. It tests the hypothesis that because the counties were selected to represent different social areas of the state, that existing cultural difference would reflect difference in health behavior. The chapters in the bulletin include: comparison of selected socio-economic factors in Laclede and Harrison Counties; generalization based on both counties; and sociological research in rural health.
