This review addresses the relation between pesticide exposure and specific types of childhood cancers, and discusses the causal nature of this relation, and also serves as an update of a review carried out by Zahm and Ward in 1998. Through reviewing 17 case-control studies and one cohort study, findings show that 13 studies reported increased risks of childhood leukemia. The authors confidently state that there is at least some association between pesticide exposure and childhood cancer.
