Numerous agencies in individual states, private groups, regional groups of state officials, federal officials, and local officials have surveyed the difficult status of migratory farm workers in America. Out of these efforts many proposals for improving the migrants' lot have emerged, and this article reviews the over-all problem, points to helpful actions taken thus far in various areas, and summarizes outstanding suggestions made by those who have studied the problem, looking to broadly applicable remedies.
