Immigrant Farmworkers' Health-Related Quality of Life: An Application Of The Job Demands-Control Model

This study attempts to understand psychosocial demands that members of the Latino workforce experience. One interesting finding is that the "absence of work" is more stressful than going to work because most Latino workers are focused on supporting their families and improving their economic situation. Prior research has focused on Western ideals of boredom, monotony, and understimulation on the job. This study looks at several factors that shape how Latinos view his or her workplace.
