On August 26, 1954, President Eisenhower appionted an Interdepartmental Committee on Migratory Labor. This Committee was charged to aid the various Federal agencies in mobilizing and stimulating more effecitive programs and services for migrants and in providing service to state and local area through their constituent members. Periodic reports and recommendations were requested by the President. This is one such report projecting estimates of future needs for migatory farmworkers in Southwester Michigan in the 1950s.
