This book outlines a study on migratory agricultural labor. To our knowledge, however, there has never been a detailed study of the day-by-day problems which confront the migrant of the ways in which he (or she) attempts to meet these problems, or of the factors which affect the course of action. Health and welfare agencies must there-lies behind the overt need, and then very often find that the services offered are either no good or accepted only in part.
