Institute Of Industrial Relations: A Comparison of the CPS and NAWS Surveys of Agricultural Workers
Author: Gabbard, Susan
Date Published: 1991
Report that compares the data collection techniques of the Current Population Survey (CPS) and National Agricultural Workers Survey (NAWS). The CPS collects data by counting workers at homesteads while the NAWS goes to work sites and surveys workers on site. The difference is that the researchers contend that migratory and immigrant agricultural workers are not equally counted because of the transitory living situations of undocumented workers.
