A three-year study by academic researchers from both California and Mexico has yielded the report, "Migration and Health Issues in Mexico and California." Funded in part by The California Endowment, the evaluation shows that health priorities of the Latino population of Mexican origin residing in California are: mental health (domestic violence and substance abuse); nutrition (diabetes and obesity); occupational health; and infectious diseases (particularly TB and AIDS).
