This article examines the extent to which undocumented immigrants fear seeking health care and discusses whether such fear is associated with inability to obtain necessary medical care. The population studied included undocumented Latino adults over age 18 living in four major communities in two states with high population concentrations of undocumented persons: Houston and El Paso (in Texas) and Fresno and Los Angeles (in California).
