This article comes from the one-day conference, "Ergonomics in Agriculture" held in July 1998 at NIOSH. This meeting encouraged the exchange and discussion among researchers and others concerned with the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in farm workers. The meeting consisted of a series of presentation and discussions in which participants identified major priorities, gaps, and barriers for future research in the area. This is a report of these findings.
