Report that discusses a diphtheria outbreak in Plainview, Texas during December of 1960. Plainview is in the Texas Panhandle and is the center of a rich agricultural area. This area includes a migrant and seasonal farmworker population that was effected by the diptheria outbreak. This report summarizes the findings of studies undertaken in the Plainview area following the outbreak. This includes data from city health units, private physcians, interviews with patients and families, adnt the 1960 records of the Diptheria Unit, CDC. The report also includes photos of the examinations and medical staff.
