This study, initiated with the specific objective of investigating the public health problems that exist in or are caused by migration and transiency, consists of an analysis of availabe published material and a field study of case data collected in 20 cities and 15 states. The public health aspects of transiency have been recognized in general for a great many years. The publication consists of factors associated with the causation of transiency, statutory provisions against transients, and how medical problems are associated with transients and transiency can best be solved.
