This report investigates factors associated with pesticide-related visits to health care providers and analyzes the participating pesticide applicators in the AHS. The Agricultural Health Study (AHS) is a large epidemiologic study of registered pesticide applicators in Iowa and North Carolina. The reports finds that there are several steps than can be taken to reduce the number of health care visits as well as suggests that the patterns of exposure may have etiologic implications for cancer and other chronic diseases.
