The following is a review of the studies published which describes caries experience of children and adults of migrant farmworkers in the United States. A list of the studies and the methodologies are presented in table 1. The literature was reviewed to determine the extent of health research specific to the oral health status of children of migrant farmworkers. In addition, the review was to identify the dental knowledge and behavior patterns of parents and their children. Unfortunately, available literature describing the oral health status, dental knowledge and behavior patterns of migrant children and their parents is minimal.
