This video is about Indian (Native American) women and cervical cancer. Indian women look for cancer early. This is also known as cancer screening. Cervical cancer is found among most Indian women. There are no signs that a woman has cervical cancer. If the cancer is found early, it can be cured 100% of the time. Women still need to be screen after the child-bearing age and women who have had a hysterectomy. Indian women are higher at risk for getting cervical cancer as they age. Women are more likely to get cervical cancer if they have sex before the age of 18, have sex with many partners, have sex with men who have had many partners, and sex with men who have had genital warts or sexually transmitted diseases.
