This report discusses the toxicology of the pesticide, Diazinon. Diazinon is an organophosphate insecticide with agricultural, commercial, and household uses. Use in the household is most common. It is toxic to the nervous system, and symptoms as acute diazinon poisoning include headache, nausea, dizziness, tearing, and sweating. Some symptoms, including blurred vision, headaches, and memory problems can persist for years. It has also been linked with an increased risk of brain cancer in children and non-Hodgkins lymphoma in farmers.
