Gender and Employment Among Latino Migrant Farmworkers in Michigan

This study investigates Latino Farmworkers in Michigan in regard to "occupational cycles," defined as changes in types of jobs during the year. Data for this study came from a survey of 350 residents of farm labor camps in 12 counties in Michigan. It's findings show that workers in the migrant streams reaching the Midwest are more diverse in employment than expected, and that this complexity characterizes women working in the non farm sector as well as men
