The Farmworker Women's Special Initiative on AIDS

Author: Lago M.
Date Published: 1995

Report that provides information on women and how they are treated in the farmworker workforce. Often they are made to do sexual favors for a spot on a work crew and things of that nature. They also get paid less then men. Employers frequently give the male head of the household all the pay received from him and his family, that way it looks like minimum wage requirements are being met. The main part of this text focuses on AIDS in the migrant woman population. This text gives information on how to help the women and different recommendations, resources, and education material for the farmworkers.
