This paper describes a four-year partnership formed to investigate migrant and seasonal farmworker exposure to pesticides in North Carolina and to develop effective interventions to reduce exposure. It provides a discussion on the background of pesticides and farmworkers in North Carolina and then launches into the discussion on the PACE project (Preventing Agriculture Chemical Exposure in North Carolina farmworkers.) Topics include barriers to effective collaboration, steps toward successful collaboration, and conclusions.
