The purpose of the Helene Fuld curriculum migrant farmworker component is to develop cross-cultural assessment abilities in the nursing student and to provide a community-based service learning opportunity for practice in an underserved and culturally unique setting. This curriculum is intended to be used as a model for nursing programs to develop community care clinical experience with ethnic minority patients of all ages.
