This report summarizes the activities of the Idaho State University research effort in describing the health status and health care needs of the rural Hispanic population. The methods and procedures used I the survey are described, the results from the Healthy Families in Healthy Communities Survey are presented, and demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of the population sample precede the analysis of the personal health survey by gender and by migrant status. A description of the health status of women and children in the sample follows as well as recommendations
