This Winter I 2001 issue of Farmworker News feature four articles. The first, "Recognizing Domestic Violence," describes the nature of domestic violence and provides a checklist to help readers identify domestic violence. The second article, "Children and Domestic Violence," discusses how domestic violence can affect children, both as victims and witnesses of abuse. It offers tips to help parents better communicate with each other and mitigate the effects of violence on children. The third article, "Love Should Not Hurt," discusses the boundaries between love and violence, and warns readers not to confuse the two. Tips are offered to readers whom may be in a violent relationship. The fourth article, "Tips for a Healthy Back," illustrates working techniques to avoid back injuries and offers tips on how to identify back injuries.
