This issue of Farmworker News contains five articles. The first, "Taking Care of Yourself is Taking Care of Your Baby!" emphasizes the health of the mother as the health of the unborn child. It advises readers to keep regular appointments with their doctor, eat a proper diet, take vitamins, avoid alcohol and smoke, and get plenty of exercise. The following article, "The Family Nest," discusses the importance of preparing a child to return to school. The third article, "Summer Safety for Children," offers 10 safety tips for children as they enjoy the summer. The fourth article, "Toothbrushing: Keeping your child's teeth healthy," emphasizes the importance of dental health and offers tips on helping children brush their teeth. The final article, "Teenager's Finger Mangled by Pipe," recounts the tale of a teen whose finger was mangled while repairing irrigation pipes.
