This issue of Farmworker News contains four articles. The first "A wake-up call: with early detection we can survive breast cancer," provides a first-hand account of a breast cancer survivor. It goes on to provide tips to prevent the development of breast cancer. The following article, "Early detection is a woman’s best protection against breast cancer," emphasizes the importance of early detection and provides three early detection methods. The next article, "Take your WIC benefits with you," describes the services/benefits available under the WIC program, and steps to qualify for the program. It emphasizes that these benefits are available in every county in the U.S. The final article, "Occupational Safety and Health: Farmworkers arm mangled in Cotton Harvester," describes an incident in which a man lost his arm and emphasizes the importance of agricultural occupational safety.
