This issue of Farmworker News contains three articles. The first, "Back To School," provides a variety of tips to prepare migrant farmworker children as they return to school. Included in this is a discussion of chickenpox, the importance of vaccination, and potential health risks associated with chicken pox. Other tips include utilizing time available to the best interests of the child, setting standards of discipline, and ways to build self-esteem. The second article, "Corazon de Mi Vida--A Passenger Safety Campaign to Save Latino Children," discusses the importance of automobile safety, and the risks of accidents. It describes a new program conducted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that targets Latino children. Included are several tips to ensure automobile safety and the proper use of car seats. The final article, "Free/Low Fee Health Insurance for Low-Income Children through the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)," describes the services provided by the program, who is eligible, costs, and ways to apply.
