This issue of Farmworker News contains four articles. The first, "Menopause" describes menopause, what it is and how it happens. Also included are signs of menopause, and an indication of what to expect from menopause. The article concludes with a discussion of the side effects associated with menopause, like an increased risk for osteoporosis and heart disease, and ways to treat these side effects. Following this is the brief article, "What do I do if I am going though menopause?" which elaborates further on the subject of menopause and how it can affect a woman's lifestyle. The third article in this issue, "Eat Healthy and Prevent Cancer," emphasizes the importance of good nutrition in preventing cancer and offers nutrition tips like eating food low in fat and high in fiber. The final article in this issue, "Protect yourself from the heat and sun," emphasizes the health risks of excessive exposure to heat and the sun, and the importance of protection.
