This issue of Farmworker News contains five articles and "Corrido del Bracero" written by Bertoldo Vargas. The first article, "Friends of Farmworker Families Fund for Breast Cancer," describes what will be a future emphasis on women's health issues, and the availability of the Friends of Farmworker Families Fund. The following article, "Some Facts About Cervical Cancer," discusses what cervical cancer is, what a pap smear is, and how often women should tested. Also discussed are specific risk factors associated with cervical cancer. The companion article, "Do You Need a Pap Smear?" emphasizes the importance of the test and encourages migrant women to find a way to get tested. It offers the Call For Help as a way to arrange a test. The next article, "Cancer" discusses cancer and the need to detect it early. Also provided are seven warning signs that may indicate the presence of cancer. In the following article, "How to Take Care of Your Feet if You Have Diabetes," the need for proper foot care for diabetes patients is emphasized, and guidelines to proper foot care are offered.
