Dental Health in a Group of Migrant Children in Connecticut

Author: Ragno, J.
Date Published: 1982

This study documents the oral health of 400 migrant children in Connecticut and its findings show that although the migrant children are still in need of dental treatment, their overall caries status and level of treatment are considerably better than previous reports have indicated. The reasons for this disparity include the earlier referral of migrants for dental care by social agencies and the revised definition of migrant now includes seasonal and migrant workers, as well as workers who have lived for a longer period of time in Connecticut towns.
