Curriculum for a training program to teach parents of young children: how to treat common, minor injuries at home; when to get medical help; what to do until medical help arrives; how to prevent common injuries from happening. It is expected that the overall impact of the program will be to: prevent unnecessary morbidity due to delays in treatment of minor injuries. Decrease incidence of childhood injuries. This training program is one component of a total childhood injury prevention program developed for migrant health clinics. It consists of group instruction by existing clinic personnel of selected target learners from the clinic population. It is designed to complete the learning objectives in four 2-hour sessions.
