Camp Health Aide Program: Implementation Guide

Author: Midwest Migrant Health Information Office
Date Published: 1991

This booklet describes a program designed to reduce the barriers toward access to health care for migrant farmworkers by training migrants to be health resource persons in the camps where they live and work. Each part of the workbook is an informational tool for the migrant health centers that are implementing this program and gives guidelines on how to choose, train, supervise and maintain migrants working as health resource persons. It gives a timetable to help train camp health aides, performance objectives and educational materials.
