Impact of Federal Programs to Improve the Living Conditions of Migrant and Other Seasonal Farmworkers: Report to the Congress

Author: United States. Comptroller General
Date Published: 1973

Written by the US Department of Agriculture, this report discusses the results of Federal programs which improve the living conditions of migrant and seasonal farmworkers. Because of increasing public and congressional concern with problems confronting migrant and other seasonal farmworkers, the General Accounting Office (GAO) reviewed major Federal programs affecting them. Some major findings of the report include the lack of effectiveness of most installed migrant health programs, lack of administrative capability, educational needs of children are not being met and housing is inadequate.
