National Migrant Service Directory

Author: Midwest Association of Farmworker Organizations
Date Published: 1988

As migrants journey to harvest the agricultural fields of America, taking their essentials, stopping infrequently and briefly, they face the perils of the open road. To assist migrants as they encounter hardships in their pursuit of employment, the Midwest Association of Farmworker Organizations, with funding from the Texas Department of Agriculture, conducted a survey to compile a National Migrant Service Directory. The contents of this document are the result of the responses. The Texas Department of Agriculture and the Midwest Association of Farmworker Organizations are pleased to provide this directory of agencies, major crops harvested by farmworkers throughout the United States, and pertinent information on each site. It is hoped that this Migrant Service Directory will provide a guide to weary travelers as they traverse America in their travels and provide assistance to alleviate the myriad problems they face.
